Educational Technology and Distance Education Journals
I had problems identifying quality, peer-reviewed journals in educational technology and distance education, so I compiled a list of the journals that meet the “peer-reviewed” criteria. These journals focus on the broad field of educational technology and distance education, and not all were created equally. I tried to avoid including any discipline specific journals. Please note that I purposefully only included specific educational psychology journals that have a flair for educational technology. If you have any journals I should add to my list, please contact me.
I have updated my list to include the organization from which the journals supported and/or the publisher, whether or not the journals are Social Science Indexed (SSCI), and the rank of the journals according to a dissertation I found. The dissertation ranked the journals across four measures. I used the overall ranking:
