Summer, dissertation proposal, new job
Announcements May 16th. 2007, 7:26pmSo, I finally had the realization of how much work I have to accomplish in the next few weeks to meet my graduation deadlines. What’s more, Dr Kealy and his wife, Dr Mullen are leaving to UNC at Greensborough this summer, so I had to change major professors.
Dr Barron has agreed to become my new major professor, which is not a bad thing since we have already had so much synergy this past year. I am going to have to work really hard these next few weeks, stay focused, and get my proposal done so I can graduate this upcoming Fall semester.
Anyway, to add to the complexity in my life, I have also accepted a new position at UNF as an instructor in the School of Computing. In fact, I just submitted my letter of resignation at SJRCC today. I am really sad to leave SJRCC, but I really think this is a better opportunity for future growth in my professional career.
My signifigant other and I are still strong. It has almost been about 9 months since we started dating. I look forward to what the future brings us. Well, this is all that is new in my life since my last post. Sorry for the delay.

Professor Ritzhaupt, (let me know the instant I can address you as Dr. Ritzhaupt.)
As I searched through the SJRCC catalogue for a course with one of the best—if not the best— instructors I have had the privilege of meeting, I wondered where you were. It does not surprise me to see you moving on though because I think you are destined for much greater things.
I sincerely hope your future will be as bright as I expect it to be.
Whichever direction you take in life, know that you are already a great teacher.

ps Don’t sweat the PhD, it’s only three little letters added to your name.
Well that and few other things, but seriously … lol
